About The Role
Brighton Health Plan Solutions (BHPS) is seeking an Instructional Designer, a remote role, responsible for assisting in the design, development, and delivery of our Learning Management System (LMS) and all incorporated content.  The Instructional Designer will collaborate with the Sr. Learning & Development Specialist, all Documentation Specialists and Trainers within the department.  We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who can build, edit, and maintain LMS content using educational and analytical research to identify, address, and minimize skill gaps.  The Instructional Design candidate must be an innovative, forward-thinking individual who has experience developing courses, curating course libraries, maintaining document repositories, and implementing new and creative methodologies to increase learner retention and participation.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with all members of the department.
  • Convert materials from the Trainers into eLearning content, delivered through the LMS.
  • Create, develop, and maintain LMS content including scheduling instructor-led training programs through the LMS.
  • Formulate new curricula based on data to address skill deficits.
  • Writing, editing, and structuring course content to enhance learner retention.
  • Score and maintain YTD averages for monthly Knowledge Checks, manage weekly communications to all respective Operational departments.
  • Meet with subject matter experts across the business to develop content.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in training, instructional design, education, graphic design, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience authoring instructional materials.
  • 3-5 years experience maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS), learning paths, and distribution of customized curriculums.
  • Experience using Docebo or similar LMS.
  • Proficiency in using applications such as Articulate (Rise & Storyline), Camtasia, and Canva.
  • Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Understanding of content development that meets accessibility guidelines.
  • Superior writing and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and produce high-quality content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Documentation design in a healthcare setting a plus.

Annual Salary Range: $65,000- $75,000

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of the posting of an advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable by law including but not limited to location, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, budget and internal equity.
